Commissions

Do you have a special place, a view, a landscape that holds great memories that you’d like to have as an original one off artwork?  Your unique, commissioned artwork in soft pastel is available to book now.  Perhaps as a gift for a relative or friend, something different, something special, something to treasure.

Starting with a discussion on what you’d like from your Painting and using your own photographs as a reference, with step by step progress shots sent via email, you can be part of the process and watch the artwork develop from start to finish.  Watch your scene come to life, from idea, to sketch to the finished Painting.

• Pricing for a commission will vary depending on the size and complexity of the subject.
• As a rough guide commissions are generally in the price range of £360 for subjects similar to those in my current landscape gallery.
• A signed Certificate of Authenticity in a presentation folder and care leaflet will accompany your Painting.
• Pricing of a soft pastel commission will include the mounting and framing.
• Pricing generally excludes costs of postage and packing, see Delivery and Returns for information.

Terms and Conditions

• On acceptance of the commission and the price agreed with the client, payment is to be made in three stages.

1. First deposit payment is due on acceptance of the commission.
2. Second payment is due at the middle stage of the work, when the work has reached a certain stage.
3. Third payment is due on completion of the painting.

• The painting remains the property of the Artist until the final payment has been received and cleared.
• I regret that stage fee payments are non-refundable.
• Should the commission be cancelled by the client after the second payment has been made the final payment is still required.
• Should the commission be cancelled by the artist after the second payment has been made, 50% of the second payment will be refunded to the client.
• Copyright of the painting remains with the Artist and no copies/prints or subsidiary works to be made from the painting without permission.
